Now that I’ve completed the last two days of the loading phase—during which I could eat as much as I wanted and took 4×5 globules—the actual start of the metabolism cleanse begins today.
What is the 21-Day Metabolic Diet:
The VitaCare Metabolic Diet consists of three phases:
The VitaCare 21-Day Metabolic Diet is a multi-stage nutritional program that spans several weeks. The program consists of three phases: the loading days, the actual diet phase, and a subsequent stabilization phase.
Phase 1: Loading Days
According to the program, the first two days serve as preparation for the subsequent diet phase. On these two so-called loading days, you are generally allowed to eat and drink plenty according to the prescribed plan.
In addition, 4 × 5 globules are taken daily during each of these two days.
The goal of this phase is to prepare the body for the subsequent metabolic regimen. I will also document how this preparation affects my daily life as part of my 21-day practical test.
Phase 2: Diet Phase
The two loading days are followed by the actual diet phase. According to the VitaCare program guidelines, daily calorie intake is limited to approximately 500 to 700 kcal. Carbohydrates should be largely avoided during this phase.
The day begins with a protein shake. In addition, various dietary supplements from the VitaCare program are taken in the morning, at noon, and in the evening.
The program includes:
- Vitamin Complex
- MSM
- OPC
- Globules
- Protein shake
This phase is the focus of my practical test. In addition to tracking my body weight, I also want to observe how the very low calorie intake affects my hunger, energy levels, daily life, and workouts.
Important: The calorie amounts and protocol mentioned here describe the VitaCare concept that I am testing. They do not constitute general nutritional recommendations. A daily calorie intake of only 500–700 kcal is very low and should not be undertaken without expert medical or nutritional guidance.
Phase 3: Stabilization Phase
After completing the diet phase, the stabilization phase begins on the 23rd day. During this phase, additional foods are reintroduced into the diet.
According to the program, daily calorie intake should remain at approximately 1,200 kcal.
The purpose of this phase is to gradually return to a wider variety of foods after the highly restricted diet phase and to stabilize the results achieved.
What I’m Documenting in My Practical Test
Since I don’t want to evaluate the program based solely on my final weight, I’m documenting my progress throughout the entire test period. This includes, among other things, my weight, body measurements, diet, exercise, and how I feel.
This way, by the end, I’ll be able to answer not only whether my weight has changed, but also how practical the individual phases are in everyday life and what experiences I’ve had over the 21 days.
